How Do You Get the Truth Out of People?
When I was a young reporter, I used to wonder what people were lying to me about. And then I'm like, Oh my God, they believe it. The preparation for these interviews, how do you go about following that prompt? I read up on people. See a lot of these people I've known for decades. So I don't need a lot of prep with some of them. But I do start thinking about what are the key questions I want to ask them stuff I don't know about.
