The Summerton Man was found dead on Somerton Beach in 1948. His fingerprints were taken, but the police couldn't find a match. Investigators would spend decades trying to figure out who he was and what happened to him. Phoebe Judge: It's one of Australia's strangest and most famous cold cases.

In 1948, two horse jockeys were riding on a beach in Australia when they came across a man lying in the sand. There was a partially smoked cigarette resting on his jacket. He was well dressed, with a striped tie and polished shoes. And he was dead.
