improv gives you a foundation of a social group that's very legitimate. It takes time to really build it in friendship can give you that feeling of steadiness and acceptance. If you pull out too quickly, you won't have that. You're all being vulnerable and looking foolish together and playing silly games and laughing. That builds over time in some of the people you you're never going to be friends with.
