The first piece of popular advice that I think often might be okay advice in a vacuum, but that often does more harm than good when just given as blanket advice to everyone is the pursuit of rigid macro counting. A successful weight loss diet kind of for that purpose, lose the weight and keep it off, is going to need to have three characteristics. One, you need to be able to stick to it to help you stay in an energy deficit for a long enough period of time to lose the way you want to lose.
