i was lucky enough to spend a lot of time with allan brown over the nine years that i cohosted aviation newstalk podcast. He'll always be remembered best as the chief designer of the f one 17 stell fighter, and later as its programm manager. Allan's planes were in a class of their own; he specialized in making replicas of some of the earliest airplanes to fly during the dawn of ation,. Now these were delicate contraptions that could only be flown in very low wind. And we all delighted in watching allan get these airplanes into the sky and then back on to the ground in one piece.
