The Struggles of a New Yorker

My brother got shot twice in the head. I haven't even really mourned him because he was a casualty of war. That's something that could have happened to me and happened to a bunch of my homies. So it's like, you know, you don't cry over it. You can't protect your other family members if you're crying about this family member. And now you got to show that it wasn't in vain by becoming something of yourself. so my brother's death won't be in vain, but I'm not going to see it.
