Bing is a total extra thing that they're creating on the side. Microsoft's business model is fantastic. They don't need any of this to work, and they'll be just fine. The money here is not for them to try and compete with Google at Search. But where Bing really start to shine is when they integrate it into Microsoft Word and PowerPoint and Excel. Can you imagine, do a spreadsheet?
