Is Religion Really the Opiate of the Masses?

When you suspend your own personal agenda and try to just see that person as they are, Simone Vay says it's like being reborn into a new body with a whole different attitude. The same kind of openness detached from expectations allows people to learn and see the world in a new way. Is religion truly the opiate of the masses?
