The Secret Life of Esther

Aaron Carroll: We're in a library talking about Esther. He says the story is set in the Persian capital of Susa and there are four main characters. There's this genocidal plot hanging over the Jews for much of the story, he says. But then like a sort of to no one surprise at that point, the Jews wind up killing anyone who tried to kill them.
