Zan's speaking was without affect, clear, without being expressive. When i inspected the books in zan's library, i saw that there were indeed several volumes of poetry. This was unnerving, because it was not easy to imagine my dad buying poetry for himself. In fact, it was like discovering a secret side to him. Although, of course, technically speaking, this side of my dad belonged to zan.
