The Habitable Zone in the Universe
Habitable zone defined as where the liquid water is and yet still have liquid water because there will be other ways of having that liquid water there otherwise you know by simple the internal mechanics of a particular planet mainly radioactive decay of the core which is what's going on the earth. If we find planets that are extremely distant from the earth let's say billions of light years away we've got no hope of seeing them by the way but if you could see plant the first planets forming which would be Jupiter like planets around stars the first generation of stars you wouldn't have life there why not?
