The Crusaders have been in the area for you know 90 years and no one's been able to knock them out so decisively. Do you think that is down to the genius of Saladin, Saladin the strategist or do you think it just was a matter of time before the Crusaders got knocked out? Ben: It's quite possible that they just would have been worn down over the decades or centuries but so long as they were able to field a strong army  they would always at the very least be able to protect a certain defensible coastal region.
