Machiavelli vs. The Stoics

Machiavelli is all about tactics and strategies regardless of the end. The Stoics very much, you know, as our conversation before highlighted, the Stoics are very much about the end. I'm not saying they can be integrated with each other; it's tricky. But there's a line in meditations where Marx really says, don't go around expecting Plato's Republic.
