The Importance of Dissent in Participatory Organizations

Rancier's work is really useful for thinking about how to keep a space for dissenting from an organization, or just keeping it able to be changed and adjusted. So the idea of dissent isn't something that comes from cybernetics. But in terms of like defining what cybernetics is, there's the kind of conventional way of defining it which has to do with finding and articulating commonalities between all kinds of complex systems. And he basically thinks of cybernetics as not to do with this kind of writing and articulation of how systems works. For him, cybernetics has to do more with actually making a system and the system that you make.
