In the film, she start as a young girl embarking on a wedding where the minister declares, if at first you don't succeed, wed wed again. This film led to a major part in a feature called the woman and the law, directed by raoul walsh and starring miriam cooper. Peggy would play the husband's mistress. She was being cast for the extra textual power of her celebrity, which was tied to the perception of her real life promiscuity.
