The Importance of Memory
To be human, what you need is a flexible brain. You need a brain that can take pieces of information and connect them in ways that never originally happened. If you attach things that were never originally attached, you misremember. And when we look at it that way, what we also see is that the same mechanism that's responsible for false memories is the mechanism that'sresponsible for creativity and problem solving and intelligence. So I want to leave you with the questioning of your memories, thinking about whether some of your memories are just an illusion.
