The bulk of your book really is an introduction to several other lines of work besides psychoanalysis that deal with unconscious processes. They include heuristics, implicit memory, implicit learning, automaticity, and so forth. And reading this list in your book alone, I think makes an important point, which is that unconscious processes are not the sole purview of psychoanalysis. But to illustrate this point, can we start with say heuristics? Can you tell us what that area of study has to say about unconscious processes? Why don't we start with you, Joel?
