The Universal Capacity of Human Beings
The idea is that yes a somewhat universal capacity or faculty, though as readers will see in the book I draw on Rick sweaters idea of universalism without uniformitarianism. It's a kind of mouthful for sure but he's a cultural psychologist at University of Chicago. And as he shows in his work and as I hope to show in this book there are ways to think about, you know universal capacity that we all have as human beings. But they're not uniform in these different historical and cultural context so they're certainly something that I draw attention to in the book.
