When somebody is agitated and in distress, the front part of your brain isn't available. The person can't make really good decisions when they're that kind of escalated. Treatment will include helping a person learn skills to calm their like literally calm their physical body down. It doesn't always tell people you don't need to be calm. You just have to be calm enough for your brain.
