Is Screening for Diabetes a Good Thing?

In the ideal world, what we would do is this big, randomized control trial with lots of people. And then we're going to follow them out for decades and look at really important health outcomes. But in that review, there was no mortality benefit found for screening for diabedes,. but there was benefit in patients who were recently diagnosed with diobedes, actually intervening there. So i just want to make sure i am clear on this. When those patients, when the diagnosis is made, and then thy are treated aggressively, those patients do have mortality benefits.
