I was in a situation a long time ago prior to the current sort of hubbub and around digital surveillance tools. I took my responsibility as a manager to be a shit umbrella. And what happened was my team very quickly started producing because they felt one better understood, less micromanaged. What most people are counting on when they implement systems like this is quiet acquiescence.
