The Death of a Riding Raft
On October 25th 2016 four people were killed on the Warbird ride at Dream World in Queensland, Australia. The water level of the ride suddenly dropped since only half the water was being returned to the start. A raft that had just finished the ride reached the top of the lift hill but from the low water levels the raft sunk lower. It became stranded on a support rail just several feet from the boarding station. Behind this raft another one was making its way toward the lift hill. And behind the force of the lift their raft slammed into the stranded one. Two more times the conveyor belt smashed this raft into the one ahead. It hit the other raft so hard that their raft flipped 90
