With his horns cut off, thasi became a man. Once again, the medicine man called to the great mountain spirit of wallala to guide thasi in his trip to the other world. But thasi cried out, ashamed at killing and devouring his people,  demanded he be buried with the horn of the great gray east somewhere so far away that nobody would ever find the grave.
