The Connection to the Land

In the fall when Kotzebue Sound freezes up, I always joke that it's the biggest parking lot in the world at the inner sound here. And then, you know, you can go and travel in all directions and and cover large distances rather quickly. In summer and spring and fall when you're you can't do that. So the way the bird flies. Yeah, that's it's the same as the human goes when you're dog racing across the road. Winter time. That was a huge piece of the connection that went away.
