Isolated for Rinjal Presentations and Symptomatology of Monkeypox

In individuals who don't present with any rash, we've also had cases of just proctitis. And then the last feature that I think is very important is also isolated for rinjal presentations. Presenting with just a severe sore throat, negative for strep throat and you can't figure out why this person has such a sore throat that they can't swallow anything. You get a sample, you test it and they come back positive for monkeypox. So really important to ask the history and think about that diagnosis even if the patient doesn't have the classic textbook presentation that you would expect for what you knew about monkeypox.
