God's word prescribes self-controlled physical consequences for disciplining our children, but that doesn't necessarily mean there are no exceptions to that rule. If you're one of those people who shudders at the thought of spanking, what is the basis for that? Is it your own past trauma? Is it a fear of your child not liking you? Or is it informed by God's word? Some of these reasons are undiblical.
