The Origins of Scaleless Corn Snakes

We have a large color neon corn snakes in our lab, because we are mainly interested in the coloration of these animals. So there are different color morphs that are very spectacular and we try to understand how these come about. We found actually some corn snakes that are scaleless. This is a spontaneous mutation that occurred in the pet trade. And then we found these animals and it was very intriguing because they had no dorsal skills, but they maintained the ventral skills.
