The Rise and Fall of Leonardo Da Vinci

Lorenzo de Medici supported Leonardo da Vinci when he was a teenager. He also taught the next generation of talent in Florence, including Michelangelo. The seeds were sown for some of the greatest artworks ever created. But money is running short by the time Lorenzo dies in 1492 and major changes are afoot. In 1494, the French invade Italy, claiming they have a right to the throne of Naples. This triggers a series of battles known as the Italian Wars - fuelled by rivalry between France and newly unified Spain.
