The Dynamics of Clerical Abuse
All forms of abuse actually carry really similar characteristics. So you don't have to be abused in a church to experience a spiritual wound. The main difference between clergy abuse and abuse of a trusted other is that it conflates abuse with Christ or abuse with God. But when you're harmed in the name of hope, then there's no hope indeed.
