The Importance of Silence in Africa
The Bantu is an ethno linguistic group of people kind of like Slavic to where there's a 700 distinct Languages 400 distinct ethnicities, right? It covers about 30% of Africa 8% of the whole world. Silence is lauded over everything because we believe it speaks to the deepest existential itch that you find in humanity and that is the desire to be seen. In my Language when someone greets you anyone who's Zulu on devilly or Bantu and they greet you the first thing that you say is saoborna and Salborna means that we see you right?"
