The Relationship Between Age and ADHD

A child born on August 31 will be 364 days younger than one born on September 1. At that early age, one additional year of life is no small thing. The oldest kids in the kindergarten class could have as much as 20% more experience here on planet Earth. Doctors who are by now primed to think about ADHD when they hear that a child is having behavioral trouble compared with their peers may be more likely to diagnose ADHD and prescribe medications.
