Oral Cancer - Is This an Outlier?
A young female patient early 30s reached out to me trying to be tested for HPV. She had a peplow on the remove from a soft palate. Surgeon oral surgeon told those HPV related and then frickets nothing else. So she kind of freaked out wanted me to do a salary test for HPV strains which we did. But she didn't have HPV 16, Okay but she did test positive for HPV 67. I never heard of that strain. It's also according to the reporting of back a potentially high risk strain for oral cancer. If you've ever had any sexual contact ever the odds of you having HPV are 100% or approximately 100%.
