Philip Lowe is the governor of Australia's central bank. He appeared at a Senate committee hearing about interest rate rises. The Greens asked him to explain why he should still be in his job. They said it was hard for people to accept that banks were making huge profits while mortgage holders are struggling so much. Mr Lowe responded: "The banks are profitable. It's true"
