Introduction

ICU Liberation is a term coined by the SCCM some years ago now called ICU Liberation. It is a catch-all term for a general concept or package of interventions, which is intended to take a patient who is sick in the ICU and move them towards functional recovery. Everything we do to you in the ICu, by and large is bad for you. It just may be necessary. But once it's no longer necessary, we need to get rid of it.
