How Much Are You Currently Being Paid?

If your previous employer paid you an unusually high salary, then you will carry that for the rest of your job and professional life. It's actually really hard to weasel out of that question. Do you want to work for a company that would low ball you like that though? I mean, do you think that if you set a number first and it was 40% higher than what they were thinking that that would work out? I don't know. I don't need it.
