Introduction

By 2030 we're on a pace to have less than 5 percent of the World's population living in poverty. Over the last 50 years we've added nearly 1000 calories per day to the world food supply average. Resources are being used more efficiently than ever before. The global economy has grown by over 100 times over the last 200 years. There are legitimate reasons to be concerned about certain specific issues that we still need to improve but overall the data is undeniable.
