Doth Rife, Touch and Go

The most common usage is a precarious situation, one in which a small deviation could cause calamity. So if you did something really quickly and you didn't really care about how well you did it, it's touch and go. In modern English, this is as points arise, I will refer to each of them briefly and elaborate later. Back in the 1800s, there was something written about cleric Hugh Latimer from the 1500s and they use this expression as the text Doth rife.
