Are We Being Inspired by Animal Life and Animal Behaviors?
Is there a problem with projecting our qualities onto animals? I think they're probably very good philosophical reasons, they're not anthropomorphizing. We try and understand ourselves and each other in our orientation to the world through animals - we're always different. It may be correct that if you're, you know, your dog approaches, when it's wagging its tail and it's tons lolling out, it probably is happy or hungry based on dogs that I know. But giving animals human qualities, assuming that they have human-like emotions, isn't a way a good thing for animals.
