The Intifada and the Children's Swimming
Amjad's fishing port swimming pool didn't survive the Intifada because of damage to the sewage system. The children continued coming to his classes in summer but we were unable to hold any races or competitions. Persevering with my swimming initiative became far tougher than it ever was.
