The American President's Opposition to Israel's Judicial Reforms
Israel has a Supreme Court that is largely appointed by itself and not confirmed by any politician. Israel adopts a standard which it calls a reasonableness to say, no, the legislation that is passed by the duly elected members of the Knesset isn't good. That would be unacceptable to Americans," he says. "Can you imagine that the American president expresses an opinion on legislation that is going through the parliament in Britain?"
