Sowing the seeds of love and hope. It means that you are kind of planting those seeds. And this also made me think of another expression that we use quite often in english: You reap what you sow. We might also say, so it's kind of like that too, you could say to someone who is making poor choices or complaining about something - maybe they just didn't work hard enough at it. But i'll have to check it out.
