What Is a Vestigial in the Indian Epics?
There are twins in the Indian epics when they are of no value at all, right? So, it's an Indo-European trope for the Indo-European form. Sumitra, I think, is vestigial. They have to be three wives for some reason, though there is a third wife. But Kaikei, she's the one who has Darsharatha's heart,. really and truly, right? And so, she's punished as horribly as Ahalya and Shudpanaka. That was a fun little section of this shouting about the women. Yeah.
