Are You Doing Real Discoveries?
Some UX practitioners aren't doing enough discovery research. They're actually too close to the solution side and not understanding the problem or anything around that you've seen yeah so I do see a lot of teams going out saying I'm we're doing discovery but we already have an agreement on what the solution is going to be. That's not really a true discovery it's more of a requirements gathering exercise or they're already moving to that second phase which is just trying to get this solution to work and making small alterations. So if you're using discovery to really just validate decisions you've already made obviously that's not a good way to learn what users really want why you ought to be building something.
