The Late Americans

This novel takes place in Iowa City and I think of it as a relay race. We follow this group of disparate souls over a year, a transformative year in their lives. Then it ends with one of my favorite kinds of sections which is everybody goes to a cabin in the woods and makes delicious food and goes swimming as they as the whole book comes to a head. Swimming is always dangerous though in your novels.
