Flexibility vs Rigid Restraint in Dieting

Until maybe like three years ago, i thought i understood this concept. Someone who applies rigid restraint to diet is going to tend to set a lot of inflexible rules and boundaries. They will aim for perfection at the expense of flexibility, adaptability and practicality. When they do fall short of perfection, it's internalized categorical failure. In contrast, someone with flexible a restraint with their diet is more pragmatic. There are goals. Sometimes there will be small deviations from those different targets. Ah, but someone who is close to hitting their target can say, eh, pretty close. You know.
