Liberal Education, a Symbol of Knowledge

For some, liberal education has become wedded to the propounding of social grievances. To others, it marks an expenditure of time and effort that is largely wasted when a technological world wants technologists. Some contemporary thinkers have tried to spy its essence. Liberal education means to day whatever we wish it to mean, in all our idealistic or disputatious moods. Just as the soil needs cultivators of the soil, so the mind needs teachers.
