Is the Excitement Around Web Three Coming From Cryptocurrency?
There's no significant financial incentive to develop web three, says Andrew Keen. But the concept of digital assets and new kinds of financial primitives are really appealing given how badly our financial institutions have failed us. The reason why we're all sort of stuck with sass products is because browsers don't provide the necessary network primitives for people to build the kinds of things that they want to so we need a model that's not browser based, but still provides a high quality pto p experience.
