I think there are two ways of increasing the feel good and making people feel more of an emotional connection with things that are more distant. The second way is more just extrapolating, using reason. So you could say, okay, I literally don't feel empathy for these distant people or different species, but I know that it's very likely that they do suffer in the same way as the people or animals that I care about. And therefore it would not make sense for me not to prioritize them in thesame way. Would you agree with that? Yes.
