affect theory would say that very often what we're doing and why we're doing it are just these kind of semi-inscrutable forces in us. So connect that with your presentation towards the end of the book of Long Gospel as an effective pedagogy. And I think Christians who experience grace in a powerful way have experienced a shift in their affect. But affect theory allows you to say, well, yes, that makes sense and part of what's happening is about a change in your emotional life.
