When i was in college, i had a close friend who had a serious illness, and and actually died as a result of cancer. And so at that point, i had already made a decision to go into oncology. But my transition from thinking that i can cure all cancers to thinking about how can i best support patients and families as they go through really difficult and trying times. So by third year of medical school, i jenifer temple and saw in her the oncologist that i wanted to be focused on, palative and support of care. M she took me under her wings, and here we are, i don't know, ten, 15, 16 years later
